Our T's & C's - To Keep Your Cats Safe & Happy

Here at Hazelhurst Cattery we have a few terms and conditions that we ask all of our clients to abide by. This is to ensure we are able to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all of our guests and we thank you in advance for taking the time to cooperate. 

Terms & Conditions

  • The daily boarding charges include secure boarding, heating, food, general care and daily cleaning of pens.
  • Only cats that have an up to date vaccination certificate against feline influenza and feline enteritis can be accepted for boarding. Owners must produce a valid certificate on arrival.
  • We must be made aware of any medical problems your pet has and you should give us full details of any medication or other treatment on arrival. Medicines must have the vet labels with the Cat(s)name and dispensing instructions clearly visible, as we often get several animals with the same medicine during busy periods.
  • No pet suffering from, or suspected to be suffering from, an infectious or contagious disease can be accepted. You will appreciate that this is essential in order to safeguard the health of all Cats boarded.
  • Male cats over the age of seven months, which have not been neutered, will not be accepted for boarding as they could present an infection hazard.

  • Please make your Vets that your Cat(s) are staying with us at the Cattery and we have permission to deal with them.
  • We must be made aware of any medical problems your pet has, and you should give us full details of any medication or other treatment on arrival.
  • Should an animal on arrival be deemed by us to require treatment for internal or external parasites (fleas, worms, etc) then this will be given and a charge will be levied for this.
  • Veterinary attendance is assured and any treatment considered advisable will be carried out at the owner's expense if not covered by the cattery insurance. All treatment prescribed prior to boarding can be continued during the pet's stay. Any pre-existing condition which may require further treatment by a Veterinary Surgeon will not be covered by the cattery insurance.
  • You have a contractual obligation to collect your pet on the agreed departure date. If you fail to do so, without prior agreement, we reserve the right to take action in accordance with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 to sell, re-home or dispose of the pet and recoup any monetary losses incurred. In accordance with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977, if cats are not collected after the departure date, a registered letter will be sent to you specifying that your pet is ready for collection. Upon written notification to you, we may:
  • - Board the cat until actual collection and charge you for all reasonably incurred costs, an
  • - Re-home, sell or dispose of the cat and charge you for all reasonably incurred costs.
  • Fees are charged for the day of arrival and the day of departure to allow time for cleaning. We accept cash or bank transfer on the day of arrival.
