Rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters are also welcomed at Hazelhurst. Rabbits and guinea pigs are housed in their own runs with deep litter beds. We aim to feed rabbit mix and fresh veg daily, such as kale, carrots etc, as well as best quality hay, of course fresh water. All guests are cleaned every morning and fed twice daily. While there is no requirement for innoculations, we can only recommend that they are given. Rabbits also make much better pets if they are neutered.

Here at hazelhurst we understand that rabbits need to eat all day to keep their teeth in good order, so you can be assured that your rabbit will be in good hands, in fact we taught one rabbit to play football, and another to use a litter tray. So you never know. your rabbit may come home and start doing the housework.

Gerbils, hamsters and other small squeaky things are also welcome. They may stay in their own home, or we can provide a suitable house. Apart from a good quality mix, we feed a wide range of other food including scrambled egg, cucumber, tomato and occaisionaly a real treat, such as cake or biscuit.
