![]() Here at Hazelhurst Cattery we like to think we take special care of your cat, every time you visit. However, we do take extra special care with kittens and cats that are new to cattery life. We want your cat to feel at home with us, and we go to great lengths to ensure they enjoy their holiday. |
![]() We do see a good number of very timid cats and we hope with gentle assurance, lots of patience and a bowl of something really nice to eat we can win them over. |
![]() Spot the kitten in the kitten-pen We now have a dedicated kitten pen with lots of things to play with, planks to walk, frames to climb, and a view of the garden so they don't miss all the comings and goings. |
![]() We feed a kitten food of your choice, we also feed the odd bowl of tuna and chicken, with a nice bowl of cat milk or a cat treat in the afternoon……. Well, it's their holiday too! We hope by making their visit, a fun visit, it will make them want to come back to us. |
![]() It's always a good idea to worm and de-flea your cat just before you take it to the cattery. Your cat will look and feel much better for your efforts. If you struggle with either worming or flea treatment we can do these for you while your cat is here with us, just mention if you would like this done when you leave your cat. |

![]() Bubble and Squeak also like greens. |

![]() Medicated cats are welcome at Hazelhurst. There are a few things you can do to help your cat. If you have to jab your cat for say diabetes, then a little planning can go a long way, feed and jab your cat as normal, and then try to get yourself and the cat in to the cattery as quickly and quietly as possible. |
![]() The reason we recommend this, is because most cats hate going in their boxes, and then in the car, so by the time they arrive here, they have got themselves in a fair old state. So by you arriving early, we can put them in their chalet, and leave them to settle, before we need to pop the pill or jab them. It can just make the difference between a fight or a struggle, and a calm but firm handling of the situation. Hopefully making this a less stressful situation, for both the cattery, and your cat. |
